Eat Your Veggies!
Eating a variety of vegetables has numerous benefits. Vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals essential for your health. They also have a high water and fiber content which helps you stay full longer.
Vegetables add VOLUME to your meals without adding extra calories! That means you can eat a larger serving of vegetables for less calories (and way more health benefits) compared to eating a denser, less nutritious carbohydrate.
Here are a few ideas of how to incorporate veggies:
•Add bell peppers to eggs
•Make a stir fry with cauliflower rice instead of white rice
•Make ground meat patties with sautéed spinach
•Make zoodles (zucchini noodles) for pasta
•Add spinach to smoothies and/or protein shakes
