Food is Fuel
Often times people are hesitant to start nutrition coaching because they feel like they are going to be depriving themselves of all of their favorite foods.
What people fail to realize is that those kinds of foods are actually depriving them!
These foods hold little to no nutrient value- they are essentially empty calories.
If we can shift our mindset to think about food as:
Then we can start to realize that we actually deprive ourselves by NOT eating whole, quality, real foods! Foods like vegetables, quality proteins, and healthy fats provide our body with all of the above.
Changing the way you eat is hard and there will be cravings for those ‘empty’ foods but the more you start to eat healthy food the more your body will CRAVE healthy food.
