Kids Policy

Having a safe and family friendly environment is very important to us.  The safety of our members and any children who are present at the gym during group class is our priority.  It is important to establish a policy to ensure that we maintain a safe environment for everyone at Telos, as well as to preserve the integrity of the group class experience for all members.  If you choose to bring your children with you to group classes, we are asking for your help to enforce these guidelines with your kids.  Please understand that it is the job of the coach to instruct technique, manage the group, and run a safe class.

  1. Children are not allowed on the gym floor during group classes (No Exceptions).  This includes the warm-up and workout. Inside the building children must stay in the office/lounge area.  Feel free to bring in books, video games, coloring supplies, puzzles, etc. for kids to use in the lounge area while you are working out. If the child is too young to sit alone and stay in the lounge area, he or she will need to be in a gated area located on the turf.

  2. All equipment is off limits to children at all times (unless supervised by a coach).  This includes the pull-up rig, rings, jump ropes, boxes, rowers, PVC pipes, foam rollers, barbells, kettlebells, treadmill, and the whiteboard/markers, etc.

  3. Help us keep the inside and outside of the gym tidy.  Please ensure that your child has cleaned up after themselves before you leave the gym.  This includes food, games, and books in the lounge.

  4. Please do not bring your child if they are sick or are showing symptoms of being sick.

  5. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that their children are following these guidelines.  If you see your child doing something they shouldn’t, you must stop the work out and address it immediately.  Please do this in a way that is not disruptive to the rest of the class.

We love having your families come to our gym! We simply ask for your help to uphold these policies so we can provide a safe and enjoyable environment.  It is important for us to stand by these in order to set a good example to current and future members.
